Welcome to Cobalt! If you are joining us for the first time, we want to extend a special welcome to you. You are about to jump into a great community and experience Minecraft on a whole new level.

Who is the owner?
First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Josh Wenke, and I own all of the Cobalt servers in the Cobalt network. Along with a small group of other staff members, I run and maintain each and every server in the Cobalt network.

I'm happy to announce we are bringing ban appeals back to the forums! With this, players who are banned will be required to make their appeal by going to:

As before, anyone can see your appeal and if they want, can provide insight if it is useful to the appeal at hand. We would like to remind all players that useless or argumentative posts will be subject to administrative actions and the final appeal outcome will be decided by the Cobalt administration team.

In preparation for the release of Torchlight and other Cobalt servers, we'd like the entire community to have a say in the new rules that will go into the server.

They will be very well-defined and well-laid out, but we need an idea of what kind of rules to set.

This is a notice to people in the future who may be banned from the forums.

If you return to the forums under a new account or IP, in order to bypass a forum ban you received, we will immedately report your IP, computer information, and location to your ISP (Comcast, AT&T, Cox, etc). After the report, we legally have the right to revoke access to certain web services, which may shut you out of Minecraft forever until you switch ISPs. If you are caught attempting to bypass the ISP ban, you can face legal punishments in all countries where Internet is available. This is the last warning to all future users who may be banned, and all users who see this who are already banned.

You are welcome to contact the administration at server [at] cobalt-mc [dot] [com] if you would like to appeal your ban on the forums. One appeal is permitted per person, any more spam or additional appeals will also result in an ISP ban.
